Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience with (I)NGO in relief context (2 to 3 years)·
  • Experience of Waste Management/HP activities such as meeting/session conduction,HH’s visit, NFI distribution reporting etc.
  • Ability to accomplish assigned tasks accurately and by established deadlines·
  • Fluency in local language will be considered as a plus·
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task·
  • Excellent organization and communication skills·
  • Professionalism and thoroughness.
  • Good capacity to work under pressure.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Ensure, at the field level, that assigned activities are implemented according to program work plan and methodology validated by the WASH Team Leader and WASH Programme Manager.
  • Support the line manager in the preparation of weekly activity planning.
  • Under the supervision of the Waste Management Assistant, redact weekly achievements report.
  • Support the Waste Management Assistant on volunteer payment at Field.
  • Supervise/organize on a daily basis the implementation of program activities on the field and report to the line manager (verbally and written).
  • Report to the Waste Management Assistant problems and difficulties encountered during the daily implementation.
  • Support and/or lead basic training and awareness meeting/sessions at Field.
  • Followup the achievements for assigned activities and report to the line manager.
  • Ensure monitoring tools are used, filled and followed.
  • Identify beneficiaries based on relevant selection criteria approved by the WASH Team Leader and Programme Manager.
  • Explain to the beneficiaries the planned waste management/HP activities like meeting/session, HH’s visit, distribution, camp and drain cleaning, solid waste management (collection to disposal), bin and drain construction, drama session, day observation etc.
  • Participate in data collection and needs assessment survey at field level.
  • Support the program during the selection & distribution of NFI and during construction time (different types of WASH kit, aqua tabs, water jerrycan, handwashing device distribution, latrine with solar light, barthing cubicle, womens hygiene center, garbage bin and drain construction  etc.).
  • Support the program to collect data during the KAP and baseline survey or other relevant surveys.
  • Supervise the daily volunteers, follow their presence during work time and facilitate the interaction.
  • Conduct solid waste management and camp cleaning activities daily basis at assigned areas by the volunteers.
  • Participate in training on waste management and other necessary training.
  • Have and promote good behavior in the field.

This list of activities is not exhaustive and additional activities may be requested by Tdh management according to the needs of the project.
