Requirements

Education

• Bachelor degree in any discipline in Civil Engineering

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Water Resource Management / Environmental science or any other related field.

Experience

Additional Requirements

• Age 28 to 40 years

• Minimum 10 years of general experience in planning, design, monitoring and implementation of water supply projects.
• 5 years of specific experience in O&M-related activities in WASH sector.
• Experience working in the camps will be given preference.
• 3 years of team leadership experience in supervising water supply projects particularly in camp context.
• Ability to speak in Bangla, English, and Cox’s Bazar local language (written/verbal).
• Team management.
• Ability to work under limited supervision.

Responsibilities & Context

• Lead the O&M team as well as overall implementation process of O&M activities of WSS facilities.
• Develop an O&M manual and plan for WSS schemes and form O&M committees according to provided guideline.
• Prepare O&M training module for O&M committees and provide training to committee members. Ensure that a one-stop service center and operational for complaint management and service delivery.
• Conduct regular repairing and maintenance of damaged pipes and water collection points to keep delivery of water.
• Assist in preparing O&M tools and materials for mini-piped WSS.
• Assist in developing supporting documents for deployment of vendors for repair and maintenance services.
• Prepare and submit the prescribed deliverables in a timely manner.
• Coordinate and conduct monthly meetings with O&M committees and volunteers and participate in monthly camp coordination meetings.
• Coordinate with vendors for effective repair services.
• Liaise with DPHE and other relevant stakeholders for successful service delivery.
