1. Inspection and Testing
- Inspect welds and piping systems to ensure they meet applicable codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., ASME, API).
- Conduct visual inspections of welds and piping, checking for defects like cracks, porosity, or incomplete penetration.
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing.
2. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure that all welding and piping activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Verify that the materials used in welding and piping are appropriate and conform to project specifications.
- Review and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Document inspection results, including any defects or issues, and report them to the appropriate personnel.
