Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

The WELP Supervisor plays a pivotal role in executing a comprehensive strategy for skills development within the Women Empowerment & Leadership Program (WELP) under the UNHCR supported project. This role is dedicated to empowering women and the Hijra population in the Rohingya Camps and surrounding Host Communities through capacity building in Tailoring, Beautification, Numeracy, Literacy, Economic development, market engagement, and gender-based violence prevention and mitigation.

Coordination and Planning:

Design a gender-responsive entrepreneurship plan for WELP, incorporating gender equality and social inclusion measures,

Prepare and schedule skill training sessions on Tailoring and beautification trade in different locations.

Ensure coordination with sector-specific stakeholders, local committees, institutions, and NGOs.

Analyze donor demands to tailor strategies and develop clear, actionable work plans with measurable goals and timelines, ensuring accountability and meeting donor expectations.

Implementation:

Identify, recruit, and supervise trainers and trainees for skills training and ensure their attendance.

Conduct practice sessions and monitor project progress, addressing challenges promptly.

Develop innovative products and services for Rohingya women and the Hijra population.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and feedback to trainers and participants, promoting a positive work environment.

Conduct training and workshops on leadership, financial literacy, business management, and gender-based violence prevention, facilitating peer learning.

Knowledge Management and Reporting:

Collect and analyze data for studies, surveys, decision-making, and donor reports; prepare case studies and relevant documentation.

Draft training materials, IEC materials, project tools, and manage external communications.

Coordination:

Call coordination meetings before drafting major reports.

Establish and maintain strong coordination with IMS, Center team, and Finance & Accounts teams to integrate relevant data into reports.

Safeguarding:

Ensure the safety of all individuals from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation by providing guidance on safeguarding policies, promoting and enforcing safeguarding standards among team members, and adhering to the reporting procedure for any safeguarding incidents.
