Responsibilities & Context
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced WooCommerce Plugin Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and customizing plugins for WooCommerce, extending functionality, and integrating third-party APIs. This role requires proficiency in PHP, WordPress, and WooCommerce’s core architecture, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on writing efficient, clean, and maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities:
• WooCommerce Plugin Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom WooCommerce plugins to extend functionality based on business requirements.
• Customization: Modify and enhance existing WooCommerce plugins, themes, and core functionalities to improve performance, UX, and business workflows.
• API Integration: Integrate WooCommerce with external services and platforms (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, CRM tools) using RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve WooCommerce-related issues, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize WooCommerce-based websites for speed and efficiency, including database queries, caching, and front-end load times.
• Testing & Documentation: Write unit tests for plugins, document technical processes, and provide user-friendly documentation for plugin usage and support.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure seamless implementation of business requirements, and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Security: Ensure all plugins adhere to WooCommerce security best practices and prevent common vulnerabilities like SQL injection, XSS, etc.
