Ability to train and motivate teams to prioritize safety practices.Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Willingness to travel frequently to project sites across Bangladesh

Responsibilities & Context

Position Summary: The Workplace/Project Site Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety protocols and procedures at solar project sites to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and stakeholders. The role will focus on preventing accidents, complying with safety regulations, and promoting a strong safety culture across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with local and national safety regulations, including Bangladesh Labour Act and safety standards applicable to solar project sites.

Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.

Conduct regular inspections and safety audits at project sites to identify hazards, unsafe conditions, or non-compliance.

Recommend corrective actions and monitor their implementation to ensure compliance.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and document findings with root cause analysis.

Develop and implement corrective and preventive measures to minimize risks.

Maintain accurate records of incidents, reports, and safety-related documentation.

Provide safety training and toolbox talks to site workers, contractors, and team members to raise safety awareness.

Develop safety campaigns and promote a positive safety culture at all levels of the organization.

Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers and visitors at project sites.

Monitor the condition of PPE and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replacements.

Develop and implement emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid protocols.

Ensure first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment are readily available and in working condition.

Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports to the HSE Manager and project leadership.

Maintain detailed documentation of all safety-related activities, inspections, and compliance reports.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure safety is integrated into project planning and execution.

Act as the key point of contact for safety matters at the project site.
