Responsibilities & Context
- Ensure that patients receive proper nursing care in accordance with hospital standards.
- Monitor the quality of care provided by nursing staff and intervene when necessary.
- Address patient and family concerns promptly and professionally.
- Supervise nursing staff during shifts and allocate responsibilities appropriately.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and adherence to duty schedules.
- Provide guidance, counseling, and on-the-job training to nurses.
- Evaluate the performance of nursing staff and report to the Management.
- Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and timely completion of nursing reports.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and medical regulations.
- Coordinate with doctors and other departments for smooth patient care services.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage shift rotations.
- Enforce infection control and safety standards across nursing services.
- Monitor and ensure proper use of hospital equipment and resources.
- Handle emergency situations effectively and ensure staff readiness.
- Identify training needs and recommend development programs for nursing staff.
- Participate in audits, quality assurance activities, and hospital committees.
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and professional ethics within the nursing team.
