Education

  • Master of Science (MSc) in Geography and Environment

Experience

    • At least 2 years

Must-Haves:

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Cambridge IGCSE Environmental Management
    • IB Diploma Programme Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS)
  • Sound understanding of environmental science, sustainability, ecology, conservation, and global environmental challenges
  • Ability to deliver inquiry-based and interdisciplinary learning experiences
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Familiarity with Cambridge and IB assessment requirements
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to relocate to Narsingdi and serve at least two years

Nice-to-Haves:

  • IB training or certification in ESS
  • Experience preparing students for Cambridge and IB external examinations
  • Experience supervising Internal Assessments (IA) and fieldwork investigations
  • Knowledge of GIS, environmental data analysis, or sustainability projects
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
  • Interest in environmental clubs, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement projects

Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Cambridge IGCSE Environmental Management and IB DP Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS)
  • Foster students` understanding of environmental systems, sustainability, resource management, and global environmental issues
  • Develop students` critical thinking, research, and analytical skills through inquiry-based learning
  • Organize and supervise fieldwork, investigations, and practical environmental studies
  • Prepare students for Cambridge and IB assessments, including Internal Assessments where applicable
  • Design lesson plans, assessments, and learning materials aligned with curriculum objectives
  • Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Promote environmental awareness, stewardship, and responsible citizenship
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success
  • Participate in curriculum development and continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Contribute to environmental initiatives, sustainability programmes, and extracurricular activities
