Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience specifically in Substation Civil Projects.
- Profound knowledge of civil guidelines, schedule of rates, and standard drawing specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong skills in estimation, costing, and bill checking.
- Excellent leadership skills to manage site supervisors and labor forces, problem solving abilities, and strong communication skills for client handling.
- Willingness to be deployed at various project sites across Bangladesh as per project requirements.
Responsibilities & Context
- Site Supervision & Execution: Supervise day-to-day civil construction works of substations, including control room buildings, equipment foundations (transformer, switchyard gantry), boundary walls, drainage systems, and internal roads.
- Drawing & Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and execute layouts based on approved structural and architectural drawings.
- Quality Control & Testing: Ensure all civil materials (cement, rod, sand, aggregate) and workmanship meet specifications. Coordinate and witness material testing (e.g., concrete crushing tests, soil compaction tests).
- Billing & Measurement: Prepare, verify, and process running bills (RA bills) and final bills. Maintain accurate Measurement Books (MB) for all executed civil works.
- Liaison & Coordination: Act as the primary on site point of contact for consultants, inspectors, and project managers to facilitate smooth site handovers and approvals.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (DPR/WPR) for the project management team.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines on-site.
