Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering

Experience

    • At least 6 years

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 30 years
  • 6+ years of experience in the design and/or construction of large-scale civil projects (government, commercial, industrial, or similar sectors)
  • Proven expertise in project management, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation
  • Sound knowledge of inspection procedures and standards for construction projects
  • Strong logistics management skills to oversee project supply chain and resource distribution
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil CAD, or other relevant design software
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Prior experience in infrastructure, heavy civil works, or building construction is an advantage
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and in line with project objectives.

Responsibilities & Context

Contract and Quality Compliance: Ensure all works conform to approved plans, specifications, and contractual requirements; enforce quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) standards across all project activities and verify that contractor output meets approved material specifications.

 

Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain accurate work plans and project schedules that reflect the construction plan and current progress; review contractor work programs, resource plans, and implementation schedules to ensure compliance and timely delivery.

 

Budget and Financial Management: Manage project budgets, cash flow, and procurement goals throughout the project lifecycle; prepare contractor bills, material estimates, and cost analyses, including cost estimates for sewage system rehabilitation and construction works.

 

Site Supervision and Coordination: Supervise on-site construction activities, coordinate logistics, personnel, and resources, and ensure all works meet required standards; monitor environmental mitigation and safety plan implementation in accordance with contractual agreements.

 

Technical Design and Documentation: Prepare site layouts, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and final quantity calculations based on design drawings; develop/review engineering drawings and designs using AutoCAD, Civil CAD, or other necessary software; provide technical inputs.

 

Tender and Contract Management: Assist in preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and finalizing construction and rehabilitation contracts; prepare contractual correspondence, interpret contract conditions and technical specifications, and maintain comprehensive project documentation including meeting minutes.

 

Reporting and Stakeholder Communication: Prepare analytical and periodic progress reports; maintain effective coordination with the procuring entity and all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

 

Staffing and Resource Management: Manage the project’s staffing plan and forecast personnel needs at all phases of construction; carry procurement goals throughout the life of the project to ensure scope, pricing, and scheduling needs are met.

 

Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop all project team members to strengthen overall project performance and professional growth.
