Requirements

Education

Diploma in Civil
Diploma in Civil Engineering (3 years) or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (4 years) from a recognized institution.

Additional Requirements

Relevant technical training or certification in construction will be an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Relevant experience in civil construction/site execution.

Experience in at least one similar project as a Site Engineer or Junior Project Engineer will be preferred.

Practical knowledge of civil construction and finishing activities.

Experience in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.

Knowledge of site measurement, surveying, quality control, and HSE requirements.

Experience working with subcontractors and site supervisors will be an advantage.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Good knowledge of civil construction methods and site activities.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Good understanding of surveying and leveling equipment.

Strong supervision, coordination, and communication skills.

Good planning and time-management skills.

Ability to identify and report technical and quality issues.

Ability to work effectively with contractors, supervisors, and project teams.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure in a site-based environment.

Proficiency in MS Office and relevant construction software will be an advantage.

Job Summary

1. We are looking for a motivated Junior Project Engineer – Civil to support the execution and supervision of civil construction activities at the project site. The incumbent will work closely with the Senior Project Engineer and site team to ensure construction works are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

2. This is a site-based position offered on a 2-year contractual employment basis.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret structural, architectural, finishing, coordinated drawings, door and window schedules, and other project documents.
Use surveying and leveling instruments such as auto levels, laser levels, and other site measurement equipment.
Supervise civil and finishing works in accordance with approved GFC drawings, WMS, TDS, and project specifications.
Supervise reinforcement fixing, formwork, masonry, plastering, patent stone, floor and wall tiling, false ceiling, and other finishing works.
Monitor manpower performance and daily productivity.
Ensure workmanship meets required quality standards.
Coordinate with the Site Coordinator, Senior Project Engineer, and project team to achieve planned progress.
Assist in material planning and timely submission of material requisitions.
Provide technical support to site supervisors and subcontractors.
Monitor site progress and report technical issues, quality concerns, material shortages, and delays.
Assist with site inspections, snagging, quality checks, and rectification works.
Ensure HSE requirements are implemented and maintained throughout project execution.
Carry out additional duties assigned by the Senior Project Engineer to support successful project delivery.
