Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience

8 to 10 years

Additional Requirements

Relevant professional certification or training in construction/project management will be an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in civil construction/project execution.
Strong experience in site-based civil construction and project execution.
Experience in handling site drawings, setting-out, surveying, reinforcement, and construction activities.
Experience in managing subcontractors, site teams, manpower, and construction resources.
Strong understanding of construction quality, HSE requirements, and site documentation.
Experience working on large-scale construction projects will be preferred.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Civil to lead and supervise civil construction activities at the project site. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and HSE requirements.

This is a full-time, site-based position offered on a 2-year contractual employment basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Review, maintain, and interpret site drawings, topographical surveys, construction drawings, reinforcement drawings, and bar bending schedules.
Carry out site setting-out activities with the Surveyor and conduct surveys to ensure construction accuracy.
Operate and utilize surveying and leveling equipment, including auto levels and laser levels.
Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with GFC drawings, project specifications, approved method statements, and quality standards.
Monitor and supervise daily site activities, manpower deployment, productivity, progress, and workmanship.
Maintain site diaries, inspection reports, QA documentation, progress reports, and other project records.
Implement and maintain Permit-to-Work systems and ensure HSE requirements are properly followed.
Coordinate with the Site Coordinator, Project Manager, project team, subcontractors, and suppliers for material planning, resource allocation, equipment requirements, and site operations.
Attend meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors as required.
Provide technical guidance to Junior Engineers, Supervisors, and subcontractors.
Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Prepare and review Work Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Job Hazard Analyses, and related construction documents.
Conduct daily site coordination meetings and monitor project progress against the approved schedule.
Identify delays, risks, and technical issues and recommend corrective actions to the Project Manager.
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, local regulations, and industry best practices.
