Education

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Experience

8 to 10 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Freight forwarding

Additional Requirements

Age At least 30 years

Strong exposure to ocean freight pricing and procurement.

Excellent relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, co-loaders, and overseas agents.

Good knowledge of ocean freight and major trade lanes.

Strong commercial mindset focused on business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities & Context

Manage ocean freight pricing and procurement for import and export shipments.

Negotiate competitive freight rates, surcharges, free time, space, and commercial terms with shipping lines, NVOCCs, co-loaders, and overseas agents.

Maintain strong relationships with major shipping lines and develop a well-connected network of NVOCCs and co-loaders.

Prepare and maintain competitive rate structures, contracts, and quotations.

Monitor ocean freight market trends, carrier rates, capacity, and trade lanes.

Provide timely pricing support for sales, RFQs, tenders, and key accounts.

Identify new business opportunities and support revenue and profitability growth.

Coordinate with Operations and Sales to ensure smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.

Handle commercial negotiations, carrier-related issues, and escalations.

Analyze pricing, procurement performance, and market opportunities.

Guide and support the pricing/procurement team as required.
