Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
Tasnim Chemical Complex Ltd. (TCCL) are sister concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). These chemical units are engaged in the production of Caustic Soda, Hydrogen Peroxide, Hydrochloric Acid, and Liquid Chlorine. We are currently looking for Shift In-charge (VCM/PET/PVC). The Shift In-charge (VCM/PET/PVC) is responsible for supervising shift-wise operations of the continuous chemical production unit to ensure safe, stable, and efficient plant performance. The role involves monitoring and controlling plant processes through Distributed Control Systems (DCS), coordinating with field operators and maintenance teams, and ensuring adherence to operational procedures and safety standards. The incumbent will oversee start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and process optimization activities while maintaining production targets and consistent product quality in VCM/PET/PVC manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Supervise shift-wise operations of VCM/PET/PVC production units by coordinating with panel and field operators through DCS monitoring to ensure safe and continuous plant operation.
Monitor critical process parameters of reactors, distillation columns, compressors, and polymerization systems through DCS and field inspections to maintain stable operating conditions and product quality.
Control plant process conditions by adjusting operating parameters through DCS and coordinating with field teams to achieve targeted production efficiency.
Execute plant start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling procedures by following approved SOPs and operational guidelines to ensure safe and reliable process operations.
Coordinate with maintenance, utilities, and technical teams during equipment troubleshooting and maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions and downtime.
Identify process deviations and operational abnormalities by analyzing DCS trends and field feedback to implement corrective actions and maintain process stability.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards by enforcing safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, and hazard control measures during shift operations.
Guide and support panel operators and field technicians by providing operational instructions and technical supervision to maintain efficient shift performance.
Maintain accurate shift production records, operational logs, and incident reports through systematic documentation to support plant performance monitoring and management review.
Communicate shift operational status, production data, and ongoing issues during shift handover meetings to ensure smooth continuity of plant operations.
Assist production management in achieving daily production targets by optimizing plant operating conditions and coordinating manpower effectively.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency, and operational reliability in VCM/PET/PVC plant operations.
