Responsibilities & Context
- TNA Management: Strongly monitor and execute Merchandising TNA from PO received to delivery.
- Sample Management: Collaborate with design, CAD & Pattern, Sample and production teams to develop samples – Development Sample/FIT/SS/PP to meet customer requirements as per TNA.
- Supplier Management: Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, ensure on time booking, inhouse, quality and ensure procurement of quality materials within budget constraints.
- Production Planning: Develop production schedules, monitor progress, and coordinate with production units to ensure timely and efficient production of garments.
- Quality Control: Implement quality assurance measures to maintain product quality standards, conduct inspections, and address any quality issues promptly.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control costs related sourcing, production, and logistics to maximize profitability while maintaining product quality.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, environmental standards, and other industry-specific compliance requirements in all merchandising activities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and stay updated on industry trends to inform product development and marketing strategies.
- Team Leading:
- a) Lead and motivate cross-functional teams: Lead Merchandising, Sourcing, MCD & Sample.
- b) Coordinate & Motivate Cross Functiolal Finance & Accouns, Commercial, Planning & Operation.
- c) Provide guidance: CAD, Sample, MCD, Commercial, IE & Planning and Accounts & Finance.
- d) Mentorship: Accounts Merchandisers & Assistants.
- e) Training to ensure employee engagement: Accounts Merchandisers & Assistants, CAD, Sample, MCD as per buyer requirements.
- f) Skill development: Accounts Merchandisers & Assistants through training & Development KPI Systems, Customer Satisfactions, Competitive Analysis.
- g) High performance: Ensure High performance throug KPI Performance through reward & motvation.
