Requirements
Education

Responsibilities & Context
Position Summary: The Pathologist at ideSHi is responsible for the diagnosis and study of diseases through the examination of tissues, organs, and bodily fluids. The pathologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to support patient care and research initiatives. This role also involves contributing to research projects, quality control programs, and continuous improvement of laboratory services.
Responsibilities:
Diagnostic Services:
- Examine and diagnose diseases based on tissue, blood, and other bodily fluid samples.
- Interpret laboratory test results and integrate findings with clinical data and microscopic analysis.
Laboratory Management:
- Oversee the operation of laboratory sections, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for diagnostic tests.
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patient records and laboratory data.
Research and Development:
- Participate in research projects to advance knowledge in pathology and related fields.
- Collaborate with research teams to design and execute studies.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
Quality Assurance:
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs.
- Review and update quality management systems.
- Conduct audits and proficiency testing to ensure diagnostic accuracy and reliability.
Education and Training:
- Mentor and train laboratory personnel.
- Develop and deliver educational programs and seminars.
- Stay updated with advancements in pathology and related disciplines through continuous professional development.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with clinicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive diagnostic insights.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnostic findings and implications.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
