Responsibilities & Context

  • Responsible for controlling, monitoring, supervising, and advising on day-to-day accounting activities, reporting directly to management. Maintain financial compliance to establish the company’s financial discipline.
  • Prepare and implement monthly payment, receipt, income, and expenditure budgets for the company.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
  • Prepare “Targeted Collection, Actual Collection, and Variance” statements, reporting fortnightly to management and relevant departments.
  • Reconcile: a. Bank statements, b. Invoice-wise billing and collected amounts, c. Month-end balances, and prepare customer-wise balance confirmation statements.
  • Review cash flow requirements to ensure adequate funds are available for operations.
  • Develop and update internal financial operation policies and procedures.
  • Manage, supervise, and control all daily activities of the Accounts and Finance Department team.
  • Liaise with the Head Offices and branches of all banks/NBFIs. Supervise bank payments to maintain an unclassified status in the CIB database.
  • Handle local bank transactions, prepare weekly/monthly bank reconciliation statements, and take corrective action on any pending reconciling items.
  • Prepare loan proposals, submit related documents to bank officials, and maintain relationships with them. Arrange LC/BG facilities for the supply chain department as needed.
  • Ensure payments to all stakeholders are made with authorized documents in compliance with regulatory requirements, including withholding tax/VAT.
  • Ensure compliance with tax rules, submit tax returns on time, and complete/update assessment processes.
  • Interface with tax authorities to ensure full compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct product-wise cost analysis and take measures to optimize costs.
  • Perform any other assignments entrusted by management from time to time.
