Responsibilities & Context

As a sales executive for the holiday department, your primary role is to drive sales and promote holiday packages and travel-related services to customers. Your responsibilities typically include: Sales and Customer Service:-Engage with potential customers to understand their travel needs and preferences.-Recommend suitable holiday packages and travel services based on customer requirements.-Provide detailed information on travel destinations, packages, costs, and services included.-Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Lead Generation and Prospecting:-Identify and target potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking events.-Maintain a database of prospective clients and follow up on leads to convert them into sales. Product Knowledge:-Stay updated with the latest travel trends, popular destinations, and new holiday packages.-Develop in-depth knowledge of the company’s products and services to effectively communicate their benefits to customers.Booking and Reservation Management:-Process bookings and reservations for holiday packages, flights, hotels, and other travel-related services.-Ensure accurate documentation and maintain records of all transactions.Sales Targets and Reporting:-Meet and exceed sales targets and performance goals set by the management.-Prepare regular sales reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.Marketing and Promotion:-Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns.-Participate in travel fairs, exhibitions, and other events to promote the company’s holiday packages.Customer Relationship Management:-Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.-Follow up with customers post-travel to gather feedback and encourage repeat business.Team Collaboration:-Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.-Share market insights and customer feedback with the team to improve products and services.Market Research:-Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive activities.-Analyze competitor offerings and pricing to stay competitive in the market.Administrative Tasks:-Handle administrative duties related to sales, such as preparing quotations, invoices, and travel itineraries.-Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.To excel in this role, you should possess strong sales skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a customer-oriented approach, and a good understanding of the travel and tourism industry. Additionally, being proactive, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment are key attributes for success.
