Responsibilities & Context
UTAH KNITTING & DYEING LTD., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in the country is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of General Manager-Operation for the Woven Unit located in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
*Strategic Production Management:
- Oversee and manage the entire production operations in the woven garments unit.
- Develop and implement strategic production plans to meet company goals.
- Ensure alignment of production activities with business objectives and delivery schedules.
*Industrial Engineering (IE) Integration:
- Utilize industrial engineering principles to enhance production efficiency.
- Conduct time and motion studies to streamline processes and increase productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing methodologies to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
*Quality Assurance*:
- Establish and enforce quality standards across all production processes.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer specifications for all products.
*Leadership and Team Development*:
- Lead and mentor the production management team and staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork.
*Cost and Budget Management*:
- Oversee the production budget and manage production costs effectively.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure cost-efficiency in production operations.
*Inventory and Supply Chain Management*:
- Ensure optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
- Implement effective inventory control systems to minimize wastage and overstocking.
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for timely material availability.
*Process Improvement and Innovation*:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead their implementation.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in production processes.
