Responsibilities & Context
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute company’s overall supply chain strategy in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Provide leadership and guidance to the supply chain department, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to align with supply chain strategies with organizational goals. Coordinate with Production, R&I, Quality & other departments on dissemination of customer requirements & alert priorities to ensure smooth supply chain.
- Risk Management: Coordinate with other functional heads as required to ensure compliance with internal and external rules and regulations related to supply chain operations and processes. Identify risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions in supply, geopolitical issues, or regulatory changes and take preventive/corrective action including communication to relevant stakeholders.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost drivers within supply chain processes, initiate cost saving measures.
- Operational: Supervise foreign and local sourcing activities to support manufacturing and operational needs. Identify and manage supplier relationships to optimize costs and maintain high standards of quality and delivery. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms. Oversee commercial transactions as well as ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all commercial activities. Monitor and improve the efficiency of local purchasing processes.
