The Area Coordinator of DASCOH shall have sound background of project management and implementation

Sound knowledge on Human Rights, Women Rights, Student Forum, Theatre Group and Child Rights, Violence Against Women, Child Marriage and subsequent acts and rules.

Able to make plan and organizing task

Able to prepare factual report documentation

Proven project and staff management skills with a good track record

Excellent analytical skills; excellent in teamwork, networking and communication.

Able to drive motorbike with valid driving license.

Responsibilities & Context

This position is mainly responsible to for achieving the project results according to preset objectives and activities, documents of the achievement and reporting. Area Coordinator (AC) of “Young people at high schools strengthen women’s rights and inclusive governance in Bangladesh (YUKTA)” project is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing the project activities of assigned area to promote and protect gender equality, women’s rights, empowerment, prevent gender-based violence, student forums, community and theatre group on site. Contact and properly communication with the Civil Society Organisations (CSO) at village, Union, Upazila and District level, school management committee in the high school and adult HRDs in the high school catchment. Coordination of the policy dialogue between the CSOs/HRDs and government agencies guidance to the Field and School Facilitator. Area Coordinator (AC) is the front level managerial position, who is leading an implementing team consist of Field and School Facilitator and make good coordination and collaboration with District and sub district level CSOs, stakeholders, student forums, theatre group and young HRDs to ensure the quality implementation of the project intervention.

Responsibilities are:

Provide conceptual and strategic guidance to the team members in consultation with Program Coordinator.

To ensure effective and capable CSOs, HRDs, Student forums and theatre at local level in proper implementation of project activities.

Train Young CSOs, HRDs, gender equality women’s and Student Forums on Participatory Action Research, conflict Sensitive democratic dialogue and Rights to Information Act and facilitate local level dialogue and planning meeting in collaboration with Field and School Facilitator.

Coordination of monthly action plans and team meeting and communication and coordination with public authority.

Visits to CSOs, Young HRDs forum and participate in policy dialogue in programme districts.

Guide, coaching, supervise and management of program staff as appropriate including performance appraisal.

Support in collection of correct data from the field and analysis.

Ensure quality of the implementing activities of the project at field level.

Conduct periodic monitoring following standard procedure and periodic reports as per project requirement.

Organize and information join planning, public event, folk theatre in her/his jurisdictions.

And any other tasks are assigned by the supervisor.
