Liaise with UK based RDF Global members regularly.

Job Overview:

To fulfil our objectives, we have developed our first purpose built Maternity Clinic in the region of Jagannathpur, Sunamgonj. We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician – Gynaecologist (OB-GYN) to join our Maternity Clinic.
You will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring diseases & issues related to women’s health. You will provide medical counsel and support to women during pregnancy and childbirth.
You should be able to perform breast examinations, prescribing suitable medications, and identifying malignant tumours within the female reproductive system. You should also be able to advise patients on how to cope with the symptoms of menopause and perimenopause. You should keep up-to-date with the latest developments in Obstetrics/Gynaecology, applying the best available treatments on patients.
You are also expected to lead a team of Midwives, Nurses and Health Workers. Someone who is willing to go the extra mile, not because you are asked to, but because you are committed to being part of a healthcare team that delivers an excellent caring service to our patients.
As Bangladesh has one of the highest rates of unnecessary C- section, we want to promote natural birth and it should be your duty to uphold that and opt patients for C-section only when it is crucial.
To be successful as an OB-GYN, you should be a highly-skilled specialist who is passionate about women’s healthcare. Top candidates will also be good communicators and educators.

OB-GYN Responsibilities:

Performing a wide range of tests, including pap smears, pelvic, STD tests, ultrasounds, hormone profile blood tests, colposcopies, breast exams and endometrial biopsies.
Diagnosing and prescribing treatments for disorders and diseases.
Conducting routine check-ups on patients.
Monitoring and treating expectant mothers during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
Recording, updating medical histories.
Explaining test results, diagnoses, and treatment options to patients
Educating patients about disease prevention and detection, and reproductive health.
Performing surgeries and Gynaecological procedures on patients, such as cervical cryosurgeries, dilation and curettages, pelvic laparoscopies, and sterilizations.
Referring patients to other healthcare specialists as needed.
Collaborating with other medical and non-medical personnel.
Keeping up to date with current practices and innovations.
Promoting natural Birth
Educational workshops for mothers.
