Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: Supervising a group of skilled workers, ensuring proper planning and administrative follow up, monitoring the quality of the work and performing hands on tasks as part of the team, according to MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to ensure smooth functioning of the mission.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out critical rehabilitation tasks and corrective maintenance interventions and the coordination and execution of required tasks as well as installation of needed electrical equipment as defined by each project with the supervision of the Specialized Technician and line manager.

  • Carry out all minor works (construction, repairs, etc.) requested by the line manager, as well as any task identified by the employee and approved by the line manager.

  • Perform regular maintenance of MSF installations /equipment /infrastructures (hospital), particularly in line with a preventive maintenance plan (Cold Chain, Biomed, ICT basic maintenance, electrical, etc).

  • Supervising materials and goods orders and dispatch in order to ensure its rational use of Logistics stock in Old JMS.

  • Updating and/or creating stock cards for all Logistics stock items immediately after reception of goods.

  • Storing materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability ensuring that all items are well organised and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).

  • Assisting the line manager with the preparation of the stock reports.

  • Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying and reporting potential discrepancies.

  • In conjunction with the line manager, performing physical stock counts in accordance with the frequency previously defined. Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out and expiry dates.

  • Controlling old JMS logistic stock limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse.

  • Assisting the line manager with preparation of the stock reports.

  • Keeping the working area clean and tidy.

  • Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction at source will be applicable based on the current income tax rule.
