  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 10-12 Years of Practical Experience in Maintenance, Electromechanical, Mechanical Maintenance Department in related industry.
  • Must have the ability to supervise and inspire team members.
  • Good Communication skills in both English and Bengali.
  • Good knowledge & skills in MS word, MS power point, MS-Excel, Internet & Engineering related design & drawing software operate.
  • Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset timeframe.

Responsibilities & Context

  • To provide maintenance support during assigned general shift to the Maintenance department.
  • To supervise & monitoring the works of junior staff of Maintenance Department.
  • To maintain proper documentation and reporting of Maintenance Department and update to the Department Head.
  • To perform preventive maintenance of machineries with the available manpower.
  • To respond to corrective maintenance as and when required with a focus on reducing downtime and facilitating production capacity.
  • To ensure availability of spare parts during emergencies.
  • To assist in new machine erection/ installation works with erectors.
  • To modify machines of ZZAL to improve the company’s operations with instructions from the department head.
  • To serve as the GAM Module champion of ERP Software.
  • To submit utility and ERP related reports to the relevant department as required.
  • To prepare & update all documentation of Maintenance Department required for compliance & safety audits.
  • To forecast spare parts requirements, analyze spare parts stock availability, take initiative to ensure availability of spares and reduce machine breakdown time.
  • To create monthly or bi-annual requirements for spare parts,
  • To conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • To develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance activities to ensure consistency and quality of work.
  • To coordinate with other departments, such as Production and Quality Assurance, to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to operations.
  • To train and develop Maintenance Workers to improve their skills and knowledge, and ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • To participate in meetings with management and other stakeholders to discuss maintenance-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • To monitor and analyze maintenance-related data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • To stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in maintenance and repair, and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.
  • To ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • To develop and manage the department’s budget, ensuring that all expenses are within the approved limits.
  • To identify and recommend new equipment and tools that can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Maintenance department.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of spare parts and equipment.
  • To improve the Maintenance department’s processes and procedures continuously to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • To provide technical support and training to other departments in the organization, as required.
  • To manage and oversee the implementation of safety protocols and procedures for all maintenance activities, ensuring that all employees adhere to them.
  • To conduct periodically risk assessment of all machine & equipment regular basis.
  • To identify and report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate authorities, and take corrective action as necessary.
  • To ensure that all maintenance-related equipment, tools, and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
  • To maintain accurate records of all maintenance-related activities, including maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment inventory.
