Requirements

Education

• Bachelors’ degree in Textile Engineering is preferred.
• Bachelors’ degree in any other discipline having required experience in kids Wear Merchandising. are also encouraged to apply.

• Minimum 4 years working experience in kids Wear Merchandising.
• Must have sound knowledge & skills in KIDS WEAR both woven & knits goods.
• PRO level communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of product development process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to interact with varying personalities
• Must have ability to present a professional and informative product and trend assortment to those both inside and outside the organization
• Proficient in MS Office and Google
• Knowledge of product development process and brand management
• Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
• Should have sound personality to lead the team as well as a good team member.
• Should have ability to accomplish the assigned work individually with creativity.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the design calendar and development process to ensure timely completion.
• Executes merchandising strategies and seasonal line plans to build profitable assortments that will meet internal margin goals.
• Understand target customer strategies to provide competitive analysis to enhance brand strategies and opportunities.
• Research in conjunction with design new fabrics and concepts and communicate market trends to identify new business opportunities
• Analyze retail sales with planning and design team to identify opportunities
• Work with marketing department to ensure brand image is consistent
• Interface with all functional areas of the business (design, sales, sourcing, marketing) to maintain common vision for the company.
• Responsible for creating and adhering to budgets for samples & trims.
• Work directly with upper management on all facets of merchandising and design projects
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic brand partners
• Responsible for mentoring and developing Junior members of the team with regular one to ones and review meetings
• Acting as a key contact for Merchandise reporting and all aspects of merchandising processes and system use
• Any other works as assigned by management.
