Responsibilities & Context
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Act as the second in command to follow the production process, drawing up a production schedule; Involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage
- Ensure that the production is cost effective;
- Decide what resources are required; Assist to ensure the production is completed as per schedule
- Minimize production waste and frequently develop new ways of production to optimize resources
- Estimate costs and set the quality standards; Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed;
- Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmers;
- Liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;
- Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals;
- Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;
- Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
- Review worker performance and prepare performance standards
- Identify training needs of the work force and suggest to implement
