Responsibilities & Context

Under the supervision of Humanitarian Affairs Officer (HAO):

  • Contributing to collect information on existing protection services (actors mapping) within the camp and host community;

  • Reinforcing the existing referral protection pathways with other specialized protection partners;

  • Providing to patients and their families information on available protection services/agencies and facilitating the access;

  • Ensuring proper protection referrals documentation, maintaining individual patient referral files, and recording information confidentially and securely;

  • Providing with Mental Health (MH) SW case management follow up meetings for complex cases which requires both medical and social support;

  • Supporting the Humanitarian Affairs Liaison (HAL) team on early identification and follow up of protection cases in camp and host community;

  • Developing with HALs community engagement general protection initiatives, fostering community participation and ownership (e.g celebration days like world women’s/child day);

  • Contributing to preparation and follow up of protection trainings for humanitarian affairs teams and medical teams on gender Protection (GP), child protection (CP), gender based violence (GBV), among others;

  • Supporting the development of protection-related communication materials, such as leaflets or posters, to raise awareness among medical colleagues about the referral process and available services.

  • Assisting HAO in providing needed information into the case management database; for protection complex cases, under supervision of HAO, developing, implementing and evaluating of patients’ case management plan jointly with medical team and advocacy team;

  • Contributing, whereas is necessarily, to follow up home visit for protection cases jointly with HALs and MH SW;

  • Supporting HAO on tracking and analyzing data on protection referrals to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improving the referral system, and sharing findings with relevant stakeholders.

  • Participating – when delegated by HAO – to protection meetings within camp and host community representatives (sectors meetings hold with hospital’s catchment areas) and protection meetings with host community for a. as well as other meetings as requestd by HAO;

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Medical allowance, Weekly 2 holidays
  • Festival Bonus: 2
  • Permanent contract. Salary according to level 05 (five) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 56000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.

  • There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
