Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our Commodity Item Sourcing department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the commodities sector, specifically with grain commodities, and a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics from outside Bangladesh.

This role requires strategic planning, market development, and strong relationship-building abilities to support our sourcing objectives and drive growth in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to identify potential sourcing opportunities for various commodity items, especially in the grain sector.
Develop and implement business strategies to expand market presence and achieve sales targets.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to make data-driven decisions and strategies.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and industry stakeholders in Bangladesh and abroad.
Negotiate contracts and ensure favorable terms for sourcing and procurement of commodities.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Analyze and streamline supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs in sourcing commodity items.
Collaborate with logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
Project Management & Reporting:
Oversee project initiatives from inception through execution, ensuring that sourcing projects meet timeline and budget requirements.
Prepare regular reports on market insights, performance metrics, and project progress to present to senior management.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all sourcing activities are compliant with national and international trade regulations and company policies.
Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations related to commodity sourcing and import/export requirements.
