Additional Requirements

  • Post Graduation degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance /Accounting) preferred. Chartered Accountancy course completed will be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the development field in humanitarian sector.
  • Advanced user skill in MS- Excel, word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including employers, and partner organizations.
  • Female candidates are strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good team player.
  • Willing to work in any camps in Teknaf Upazila.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in Bengali.
  • Commitment and interest in social movements and civil society organizations.

Responsibilities & Context

Financial part:

  • Ensuring the timely payment of all bills and invoices with the proper authorization and support.
  • Review bill vouchers of project, make payment request and approved it from the authority.
  • Data posting in accounting software (AX), data verify and preparing the vouchers.
  • Deal with the bank and keeping track of funds flow.
  • Preparing accurate and timely vouchers and proper records filing and retention. Assist in salary preparation.
  • Maintain bank and cash book and Responsible for the management of petty cash.
  • Identifying Govt. Vat & Tax and maintain separate register as per NBR and NGOAB requirement.
  • Responsible for Tax and VAT related issues.
  • Monitoring Advance management systems and ensure timely adjustment of advance.
  • Maintain cash book and ledger, cash holdings, prepare monthly bank reconciliation and monthly report to Finance Manager-Country Office.
  • Prepare monthly Expenditure verification report and report to Project Coordinator.
  • Assist both the internal and external audit process as required and check compliance of existing donor rules and regulation.
  • AX closing and Check reconciliation.
  • Technical support in field office in finance related issues.
  • Monitor and on job training of team supervisee. Any other job assigned by management.
  • Review compliance related issues of all Procurement work of the project. id’s integrity standards and procedures.

    Ensure compliance & safety security policy of the donor and Cordaid:

  • Timely reporting as per the donor and organizational requirements.
  • Maintain risk register and follow the feedback of the donor as well as Cordaid Dhaka office.
  • Follow and ensure the safety security policy.

    Integrity:

  • Showcases integrity standards as outlined in Cordaid’s integrity policies. Fulfills integrity responsibilities as outlined in Cordaid’s Integrity Framework and Standard Operating Procedures. Actively contributes to a safe environment within their scope of influence by encouraging dialogue, trust, and understanding and adherence to Cordaid’s integrity standards and procedures.

    Other duties/additional tasks:

  •  Supports the project’s security and risk management system through identification, communication and analysis of potential risks and security issues in the project region and related mitigation recommendations and procedures.
  •  Other relevant duties assigned by the supervisor to support program implementation, including for other project output.
  •  Any other duties assigned by the Project Coordinator.
