Education

Experience

  • 5 to 8 years

    Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

  • Previous experience in sales or retail management is an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

Brand Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and adapt brand strategies specific to regional needs.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and promotional efforts.
  • Plan and manage campaigns like field demonstrations, farmer meetings, and retail activations.
  • Promotional Activities:
  • Execute 30+ field demonstrations quarterly and seasonal product awareness campaigns.
  • Distribute promotional materials (e.g., branded items, educational resources).
  • Organize events such as Haat Day Programs (including miking, MMM, prescription campaigns).

Market Analysis and Insights:

  • Conduct regular market research to uncover growth opportunities and address challenges.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Share actionable insights with the broader marketing team for strategy adjustments.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and motivate a team of MPOs (Market Promotion Officers).
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate skill development for the team.
  • Equip the team with resources and knowledge for effective performance.

Relationship Management:

  • Build trust with farmers, retailers, distributors, and government agricultural offices.
  • Address customer queries and complaints to improve satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with retailers to optimize product placement and promotions.

Budget Management:

  • Effectively allocate and manage the regional marketing and promotional budget.
  • Maximize the return on investment through strategic resource deployment.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, market conditions, and campaign success.
  • Share customer feedback and field insights with the head office for product improvements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (digital marketing, product development, supply chain) to ensure alignment.

Field Visit and Gap Analysis for New Business Areas:

  • Identify new business opportunities by conducting field visits and analyzing gaps in the market.
  • Propose strategies to tap into new areas or expand retailer relationships.

Attend OFM and Campaigns:

  • Attend and actively participate in Organized Farmers Meetings (OFM) and campaigns as per business requirements to enhance product knowledge and share promotional information.

Provide and Collect Product Information:

  • Provide retailers with detailed product information, features, and pricing details for NAC products.
  • Collect information on competitors’ products, features, and pricing and share it with supervisors for analysis.

Product Display Maintenance:

  • Arrange and maintain attractive product displays in retail outlets to attract customers and promote sales.

Compliance with Company Policies:

  • Adhere to all company policies, including those related to security, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and best practices during daily activities.
