- Strong knowledge of global fashion trends and market demands related to knit, woven, and sweater categories.
- Must have good idea about Fabric, Trims, Print, Embroidery, Sampling, Booking, Production and Quality.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in in writing with customer & factory in English & Bengali both.
- Ability to execute CM based & FOB Order from knit & woven Garments.
- Ability to follow up orders individually from PO receiving to garments shipment.
- Ability to coordinate with Technical & QA team
- Ability to prepare and understand T&A and to follow up in execution accordingly
- Ability to visit factory frequently during production execution
- Ability to perform any task assigned by the management
- To handle independently buyer’s accounts from costing /quotation to shipment.
- To prepare a cost sheet for each product or item, review the production tech pack, identify the new materials, clarify the discrepancy, and arrange missing color standards for each key account as per requirement.
- Facilitate order pursuits and prepare development sample costing sheets.
- Understand and follow customer procedures for order fulfilment.
- Communicate with suppliers for raw materials, booking, and delivery.
- Ability to source new products and deliver the right products at the right price.
- Liaison with the commercial team about shipping documents, undertaking all formalities, and updating buyers.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the Management.
Responsibilities & Context
We are looking dedicated and hardworking person to lead commercial team.
- The person will have sound knowledge on overall Commercial departments work of Knit garments & Knit composite.
- He should lead, monitor & guide all commercial team members to ensure that Import, Export, Export Documents, Customs, Bond, Licenses, C&F, Cash Incentive etc. related jobs are properly executed.
Responsibilities:
- Leading, monitoring & supervising overall activities of the commercial department including Export, Import, Customs/VAT, Bond, Bank, and Audit.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of import and export, international business, trading, customs clearing and forwarding, and all aspects of the commercial department’s operations.
- Liaise regularly with Marketing & Merchandising department for shipment schedule and Finance & Accounts departments for fund management.
- Confirm smooth operation of all export-import related jobs by providing necessary guidelines to the team members.
- Adequate Knowledge about H.S. Code, L/C Clauses, PSI, Customs and Bonded warehouse, Bill of Lading and other shipping documents, Bond License, Vessel Schedule, Commercial Invoice, Packing list, UP, NBR & other authority.
- Give guideline for proper and timely LC opening as per the set policy of the company.
- Look after in preparation of export documents for Bank, C&F, BGMEA, EPB, BOND, BOI (BIDA), Customs etc.
- Highly Practical experience about EXP, CO, GSP, REX, B/L and other documents related with commercial responsibilities.
- Follow up team members work on import documents to ensure timely release of import consignments;
- Monitoring & tracking various stages of export documentation as well as follow-up payments;
- Responsible for all Customs clearance of imported materials operation with LC process;
- Maintain communication with banks and agencies, EPB, Shipping Line, Forwarding Agents, BGMEA, BKMEA and other organizations in relation to export and import documentation;
- Correspond with local buying houses and foreign buyers regarding export documents via email;
- Liaise with government officials, C&F agents, banks, freight forwarders, and transport services for export and import purposes;
- Coordinate for cash incentives on specific products and negotiate preferential exchange rates with banks;
- Follow up and maintain commercial reports related to Import and Export activities and submit those to management as per requirement;
- Submit monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the management for necessary action.
- Any other activities related to job responsibilities assigned by Management.
