Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in community mobilization, field facilitation, and working with marginalized groups.
  • Prior experience in projects related to Women empowerment, livelihood, WASH, climate change, or disaster resilience is preferred.
  • Experience in training facilitation, community meetings, and capacity building.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to engage with local government bodies, community groups, and beneficiaries.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and report writing.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work in rural and remote areas.
  • Gender and child-sensitive with a strong commitment to community development.

Responsibilities & Context

Project Name:“Enhancing Information & Inclusion of Fisher Folk Women, Especially the Mantha Community”

Organization: Chandradip Development Society (CDS) collaboration with Samajik Unnayan Sangstha (SUS) and Report71.com

Funded by: Free Press unlimited and Article 19 Bangladesh and South Asia

Location: Barishal District

Contract Duration: 9 months

Job Context

Chandradip Development Society (CDS) is going to implement the “Empowering Fisher Folk Women through Information and Inclusion” project in collaboration with Samajik Unnayan Sangstha (SUS) and media partner Report71.com. The project aims to improve information access, digital literacy, and social inclusion among fisher folk women, particularly the marginalized Mantha community, by strengthening advocacy, media engagement, and participatory governance.

We are looking for a few Field Facilitators (FF) who are to mobilize the community, selection of the beneficiaries, capacity building of the beneficiary, input distribution/ asset transfer, facilitate training, Mentoring and Coaching for target beneficiaries and delivering the project activities in the field.

Major Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Mobilization

  • Facilitate community meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Build strong relationships with local leaders, community groups, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure active participation of women (Mantha community), youth, and marginalized groups.

Training & Capacity Building

  • Conduct awareness sessions on project-related topics (e.g., WASH, climate resilience, gender rights).
  • Assist in skill development training for beneficiaries.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
  • Collect field data, case studies, and success stories for reporting.
  • Maintain records of community activities and submit regular reports.

Field Support & Logistics

  • Ensure smooth implementation of project activities in the assigned field locations.
  • Coordinate with Program Officers and MEL team for project evaluation and learning.

Compensation & Other Benefits

The salary package is monthly BDT 22,500, excluding admissible benefits like Mobile bill, Transport Bill, TA/DA during official in-country travel
