Responsibilities & Context
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Export Operations to manage the entire export process, ensure compliance, coordinate logistics, and drive efficiency through process improvements and cost optimization.
Responsibilities:
Export Operations Management:
- Oversee end-to-end export operations, including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of export orders.
- Coordinate with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, export laws, and documentation requirements.
- Prepare and verify export documents such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams (sales, procurement, finance) to ensure seamless execution of export orders.
- Resolve any operational or commercial issues related to exports.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and analyze export performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, cost efficiency, order accuracy).
- Prepare regular reports on export operations and present insights to senior management.
Process Improvement:
- Identify bottlenecks in export processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline operations.
Cost Optimization:
- Negotiate with logistics providers and other vendors to reduce costs.
- Monitor and control export-related expenses to ensure profitability.
