  • Skilled in procurement, inventory management, VAT/Tax and financial reporting.
  • Conversant in common IT applications (MS word, MS power point, internet browsing& e-mail communications)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working atmosphere
  • Good working relationships with colleagues, partners, external actors and allies
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, priorities workload and ‘multitask’
  • Knowledge about accounting software’s

Responsibilities & Context

YPSA (Young Power in Social Action) <www.ypsa.org> is an organization for sustainable development working in greater Chattogram division since 1985. YPSA is implementing a project titled SHIKHA: Creating public and private spaces free from gender-based violence, bullying and sexual harassment through strengthening prevention and response mechanisms in Chattogram district in partnership with BRAC. YPSA is inviting application from the experienced professionals with proven track record for the following position for the Project.

Job Title: Accounts and Admin Officer

Job location: Chattogram

Duration: 1st February 2025 to 31st January 2029

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Project Manager for developing project budget, financial plan and report
  • Manage all financial operations and ensure logistics & administrative support to the project.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial practices, including cash management, financial disbursements, ledgers, VAT & TAX, all types of payment etc and maintain all financial records
  • Ensure financial control as per requirements.
  • Review and monitoring the budget with actual expenditure as regular basis to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately,
  • Prepare Budget Expenses Summary (BES) for compare the Expenditure trends with approve budget and provide report to Project Manager
  • Take/Assist to take action against budget & budgetary Controlling.
  • Maintain cash book, ledger book and others registers like stock register, inventory, fixed assets etc.
  • Maintain all sorts of bank transaction.
  • Maintain all documents and record for any purchase procedures
  • Assist to maintain donor agreements, staff contract, staff personal files, staff attendance register, staff movement, leave the register and documents as per requirements.
  • Coordinate the internal and external audit teams
  • Submit financial report to YPSA and donors as per their requirements
  • Maintain gender-sensitive approach in all stages and maintain safeguarding measures
  • Monitor and follow up Project activities in the targeted areas.
  • Any other task assigned by the Management
