We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Assistant Fashion Designer with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for market trends. This role requires expertise in designing blazers, gowns, wedding wear, and children’s clothing while staying ahead of evolving fashion influences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, analyzing new fabrics, colors, silhouettes, fits, and washes to create trend-forward designs.
- Develop hand-drawn sketches, flat patterns, technical drawings, and concept boards to effectively communicate seasonal directions.
- Select and curate textiles, colors, graphics/prints, materials, fits, and trims, ensuring the development of best-selling styles.
- Apply garment pattern-making and garment-fitting techniques to ensure high-quality construction.
- Lead independent design projects, crafting dresses and various children’s clothing items that align with brand vision.
- Utilize extensive knowledge of fabric types and sources to enhance design and product development.
- Incorporate design motifs, graphics, embroidery stitch details, and print variations to create distinctive and aesthetically appealing clothing.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of design elements from concept to final product.
