  • Broad knowledge of warehouse operations and technology is necessary. Familiarity with warehouse, inventory and computer systems needed. A broad range of management skills is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning. Must be PC literate and have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to handle pressure and deliver on time
  • Special Requirements: Extensive knowledge of automated systems needed. Familiar with ISO 9001:2008 and OSHAS 18001:2007

Responsibilities & Context

Lean Six Sigma:

  • He should ensure to creates and implements LEAN culture in a 3PL environment utilizing appropriate LEAN methods focused on reducing operational cost to eliminating waste (non value add activities) from operation process through continuous improvement.1.PDCA 2. Kaizen 3. DIMAC 4.5W and 1H 5. Pareto principals 80/20 rule Min 3 years’ experience ei lead role in driving operational SIXSIGMA, ESG/OHS and LEAN practices in a 3rd Party Logistics operation

Logistic solution and Data analysis:

  • Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data and providing logistics analysis to support cost effective, efficient, timely and high quality logistics solutions to implement 3PL operated end-to-end logistics solutions for customers across transportation and warehousing operations. Ability to conduct continuous improvement across assigned cluster operations and craft customized data driven solution to new client opportunities 1.Develop logistic solutions using data analytics and tools for customer needs (strong knowledge in EXCEL analytics and familiarity in CLASS etc. would be required)2.Conduct studies to determine prevailing trends, dynamics and market movements and map out client supply chain networks 3.Evaluation of logistic operations procedures of existing an potential clients to craft efficiency driven 3PL solutions 4.Review the costs and benefits of data solutions to identify the most appropriate approach for customer needs and drive realization of new business opportunities in conjunction with MBD team

SAP/Warehouse management system:

  • He should ensure to operating and maintaining company SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) system or warehouse management system. Monitoring the SAP/WM system to ensure it is functioning properly. Create GRN/GDN/MIGO timely Monthly inventory count /Daily cycle count/Reconciliation system vs physical stock Ensuring the SAP /WM system’s data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations from company. Conduct weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews at site level with key customer stakeholders Identify opportunities to mitigate cost increase YOY to drive efficiency gains to the client and also improve site level contribution.

Leadership:

  • Ensure expected service levels are achieved by focusing dynamic customer requirements and maintain an agile/flexible workforce to achieve extended services through a cohesive teamwork

Strategic Planning:

  • Participates in cluster level budget preparation, revenue and account analyze, ensures the accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding logistics operations in order to take important & urgent decisions when required.

Customer/Supplier Focus:

  • Continually maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers. Audit operations to ensure service standards are being met. Establish customer relations training programs for all front-line personnel. And works with other departments to ensure coordination needed for overall effective operations.

Measurement, Analysis & Knowledge Management:

  • Maintain the company performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases and terminations in order to develop and maintain a productive work

Process Management:

  • Plan and schedule warehouse & distribution services including receiving, storing, handling returned/ damaged goods, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met through SOP’s aligning with ISO ,OHSAS standards through following activities.
  • Oversee job assignments and daily labor schedules.
  • Guide warehouse subordinated to achieve prescribed objectives for a continuous complaint free operation by achieving client & company set KPI’s and other targets.
  • Ensure the adherence of set Standard operating Procedures (SOP’s) by all levels.
  • Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required & Apply sound communication and motivational techniques.
  • Ensure all suppliers are delivering company as well as clients expected results and quality by conducting regular meetings & interaction with them.
  • Create programs to supervise, coach and discipline subordinates & their teams.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and get the maintenance division to look in to any repairs as necessary, initiate & implement programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment and property, provide safety Instruction to personnel as needed, Report all work-related injuries immediately, Provide immediate medical attention to injured employees as necessary in order to abide by all labor related compliances. Assist in ensuring the security of the facility, its environs, employees and contents. Conduct regular meetings and instruct on good security practices in order to minimize the pilferage opportunities

Financials:

  • Ensure current and accurate inventory control for each account by carrying out necessary cycles counts and reconciliations in order to maintain the inventory control KPI and 100% adherence to FIFO/FEFO as agreed with client.

Financials:

  • Ensure that customer orders are picked and dispatched in a timely fashion within prescribed cost levels. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and ensures receiving paperwork is processed accurately and promptly in order to achieve receiving & dispatch related KPI’s
