Lead the quality assurance initiatives for both the melting and rolling sections to ensure consistent production of high-quality billets and rods.
Oversee the melting and rolling processes, implementing quality checks to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
Ensure the quality of raw materials, including scrap steel and alloy additives, by establishing rigorous testing and inspection protocols before use in production.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control protocols tailored to both sections, ensuring adherence to industry and regulatory requirements.
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor production metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct root cause analysis for any quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to address them.
Train and mentor the Quality Control team on best practices, inspection techniques, and quality standards specific to melting and rolling.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production processes, focusing on defect reduction and quality enhancement.
Analyze quality data and prepare comprehensive reports on product quality, process performance, and compliance for management review.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to align on quality objectives and resolve any quality-related challenges effectively.
