Responsibilities & Context

Location: Dhaka (Hybrid/Remote)

About Us: Learning Bangladesh is developing a scalable SaaS-based Learning Management System (LMS) tailored for Bangladeshi learners and educators. Our goal is to simplify the online teaching experience by integrating video hosting, quizzes, certificates, payments, and student tracking in one powerful platform. We are seeking a Backend Developer with Firebase expertise and strong Node.js skills to build the infrastructure behind this platform.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain secure and scalable backend services using Firebase Cloud Functions and Express.js.
Create and manage RESTful APIs for courses, users, orders, progress, quizzes, and certificates.
Design and manage NoSQL database models using Firestore and MongoDB.
Build and enforce role-based authentication for learners, instructors, and admins using Firebase Auth.
Integrate payment gateways like SSLCommerz and bKash.
Apply middleware and security best practices (rate limiting, token verification, input validation).
Write modular, reusable, and documented code that supports long-term scalability.
Monitor and debug serverless functions, track performance, and optimize database queries.
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and UI/UX designers in Agile sprints.
Report daily task progress and participate in weekly team meetings (1 day on-site – Saturday or Tuesday).
