• Strong system design skills with a focus on scalability.
• Experience with Docker and microservices architecture.
• Proven ability to build highly scalable applications.
• Knowledge of vector databases and search engines like Apache Lucene and ElasticSearch.
• Experience with AI models and inference frameworks (e.g., HuggingFace, Sentence Transformers, Ray).
• Familiarity with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and building infrastructure for LLM agents.
• Experience with observability frameworks such as Grafana.
• Proficiency in API testing and benchmarking tools such as Postman, Locust, JMeter, or similar.

Responsibilities & Context

AskTuring.ai is Looking for a High-Performance Backend Engineer!

Are you skilled in writing concurrent code with Python? Do you have a strong background in system design, Docker-based microservices, and modern search technologies? If scalability and high-performance systems are your passion, we want to hear from you!

Remote Position: Work from anywhere with onsite meetings every 2 weeks.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop efficient, concurrent APIs using Python.
• Design scalable system architectures with Docker and microservices.
• Build and maintain vector databases and integrate search engines like Apache Lucene and ElasticSearch.
• Develop infrastructure for LLM (Large Language Models), RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and AI agents.
• Optimize for high throughput and low latency.
• Conduct API testing and benchmarking using tools like Postman, Locust, and JMeter.
• Work with AI inference and models such as HuggingFace, Sentence Transformers, and Ray.
