Requirements
Education
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance, Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Supply Chain Management
Certified Professional Category Manager (CPCM) or certifications in Supply Chain Management, such as CSCP, CIPS, or APICS will considered a plus
Experience
- At least 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Manufacturing (FMCG), Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)

Responsibilities & Context
Develop and execute category-specific short-term and long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Actively participate in carcass balancing to optimize product utilization and profitability.
Actively Participate in channel prioritization to realize sales and margin targets.
Actively Participate in Sales Promotion & Brand Communication design activities to deliver programs fulfilling Category Objectives.
Design category roadmaps, including sales, marketing, and operational deliverables.
Conduct category performance analysis and present actionable insights to the leadership team.
Ensure effective exit strategies for underperforming products.
Collaborate with sales teams to set channel-specific targets and align marketing activities.
Ensure accurate sales forecasting using historical data, market trends, and insights.
Develop, implement, and evaluate promotional activities to enhance product visibility and growth.
Review category performance periodically and recommend strategic adjustments.
Participate in new product development to address market needs and successfully launch products.
Work closely with production & distribution to synchronize schedules with sales forecasts and market demand.
Deliver Channel-Category price matrix to achieve margin targets.
Monitor and analyze input prices to anticipate cost fluctuations and reflect in pricing strategies.
Determine product pricing using market research, cost data, and competitive analysis.
Conduct market visits, including B2B and B2C channels, to understand customer preferences and behavior.
Review inventory files and assess stock levels to identify trends and potential issues.
Visit warehouses and production plants to gain operational insights.
