Requirements

Education

Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics
A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
Professional qualifications will be an added advantage.

Applicants should possess:

At least 15 years of experience in banking, financial services, or the remittance industry, including 5 years in a senior management or executive position.
Demonstrated experience in international remittance operations, payment systems, correspondent banking, or foreign exchange business.
Sound knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, KYC requirements, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
Strong business development, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of the local language of the respective country will be an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

A progressive financial Institution invites applications from accomplished finance/banking professionals for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its overseas subsidiaries in Malaysia, Greece, Singapore, and the Maldives.

The selected executives will be responsible for driving the growth and operational excellence of overseas remittance business, strengthening partnerships with exchange houses and financial institutions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service to expatriate communities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the overseas subsidiary.
Expand inward remittance business through strategic partnerships with exchange houses, banks, fintech companies, and other financial service providers.
Develop and implement business strategies to increase remittance volumes and market share.
Ensure full compliance with the regulatory requirements of the host country and the Bank’s policies, including AML/CFT and sanctions compliance.
Strengthen risk management, internal controls, and corporate governance.
Manage profitability, operational efficiency, and business sustainability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, correspondent banks, business partners, and community organizations.
Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team while fostering innovation and customer-centric service.
