3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Strong hands-on expertise with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) — writing complex queries, indexing, performance tuning.
Strong hands-on expertise with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra) — schema design, query optimization, scaling.
Proficiency in managing cloud environments (AWS preferred).
Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation).
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Cloud-native alternatives.
Solid understanding of system security, authentication, and access control.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, distributed environment.

Job Description

As a Cloud Infrastructure & Database Specialist at IDARE, you will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure. In addition to core DevOps responsibilities, you will manage and optimize both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security across our systems. Your database expertise and DevOps skills will play a critical role in supporting our products and services.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage scalable CI/CD pipelines.
Provision, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Administer and optimize SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) including writing complex queries and optimizing performance.
Manage and optimize NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar) for scalability and reliability.
Develop and enforce database backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability configurations.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and database operations using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for infrastructure and databases.
Apply security best practices across infrastructure, applications, and databases.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration between applications and data storage.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, database configurations, and operational procedures.
