- Proficiency in contractual risk analysis, correspondence, and dispute resolution
- Excellent analytical, communication, and technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks in infrastructure projects
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing claim timelines
Responsibilities & Context
As a Contract Manager (Claim Expert), you will be responsible for identifying, preparing, and managing contractual claims in accordance with FIDIC and other international standards. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the company’s commercial interests across infrastructure projects, requiring expert knowledge in claim submission, variation management, and dispute resolution.
- Identify claimable events and prepare claims for cost, time extensions (EOT), and price adjustments.
- Draft and submit claim notices, detailed calculation sheets, and supporting documentation.
- Analyze and report on delay impacts; coordinate with the Employer/Engineer.
- Participate in variation assessments and ensure proper valuation of site changes.
- Interpret and apply FIDIC and other contract provisions; advise internal teams on contractual issues.
- Maintain organized claim records and assist in progress measurement, valuation, and payment processes.
- Support the resolution of contractual disputes and recommend practical solutions aligned with project goals.
