  • Age at most 60 years
  • At least 15 years of working experience in an examination or administration role of which 3 years as similar role/5 years as Deputy Controller of Examinations in private or public university.

  • Age preferably not over 60 years, but can be relaxed for outstanding candidates.

  • Ability to interpret academic regulations, policy of Examination and Assessment.

  • Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail, work with a high level of accuracy, and meeting deadlines under pressure.

  • Must have knowledge and skill in UMS based examination management.

  • Willingness to work as part of a team to be open-minded and cooperative.

  • Leadership skills, Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

  • A solid understanding of the importance of confidentiality and maintaining sound data protection.

Job description/Responsibilities:

  • To work under the direct supervision of the Vice-Chancellor and to carry out duties as Controller of Examinations of the University.

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling and administration of all university examinations.

  • To ensure the effective operation, security, and integrity of the university’s examination systems, with strict adherence to all regulations and standards.

  • To ensure robust, reliable, and consistent assessment processes that work effectively and efficiently.

  • To supervise the management of all tasks related to the conduct of examinations and to ensure their successful completion.

  • To arrange examinations and to process the result preparation works, maintaining confidentiality throughout the process and ensuring that deadlines are met.

  • To ensure the timely publication and announcement of final results, obtaining necessary approval from the award board, Academic council and Syndicate.

  • To ensure the analysis and production of statistical reports on examination results, including student progression, achievement and other management information reports as required.

  • To train, develop, motivate, and manage the Examinations Unit Team to deliver a robust, reliable, and consistent exam and results process.

  • To ensure the secure, effective, and confidential management of result sheet and information.

  • To be responsible for issuing of academic transcripts, provisional and final certificates to genuine graduates and to act as custodian of academic records and certificates, ensuring their security and authenticity.

  • To address and resolve any issues or irregularities in consultation with the Authority that arise during the examinations.

  • To ensure prompt and effective handling of student grievances related to examinations and results.

  • To prepare policies, procedures, and operational manuals.

  • To contribute to the arrangements for the university Convocation and to arrange the issue of results transcripts and graduation certificates.

  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Vice-Chancellor
