- Experienced in designing and constructing climate-resilient Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) technologies and Solid Waste Management (SWM) infrastructures.
- Capable of identifying new innovations in IWRM and SWM activities.
- Experience in working on Climate Change, and Water Resource Management projects.
- A civil engineering degree from a public university will be given priority.
- Female candidates having 3-5 years of working experience on above mentioned issues are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work in a team with good interpersonal skills.

- Ability to prioritize activities to act and decide promptly.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.) including AutoCad;

Job Context
- Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. Being a peoples’ centered organization, ESDO envisioned for a society which will be free from inequality and injustice, a society where no child will cry from hunger and no life will be ruined by poverty. Near about three decades of relentless efforts to make this happen, ESDO has embraced new grounds and opened up new horizons to help the disadvantaged and vulnerable people to bring meaningful and lasting changes in their lives. During this long span, ESDO has adapted with the changing situation and provided the most time-bound services especially for the poor and disadvantaged. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 331 upazilas under 54 districts of Bangladesh covering over 10 million poor and vulnerable people.
- As partnership with Water Aid Bangladesh, ESDO is implementing the GO4IMPact Programme supporting local democratic governance and climate resilient public service provision in Bangladesh at Naogaon District. ESDO is inviting applications from interested qualified candidates for the position.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a member of the Technical Team, this role will take the responsibility and contribute to:
- Reporting to the Project Manager and responsible for IWRM, SWM, and WASH hardware activities.
- Design, estimate, and plan project infrastructure activities in coordination with project management.
- Provide support and guidance to the Senior Officer, Technical Services, in technical feasibility assessments, site selection, drawing, design, and estimation.
- Support and guide the Senior Officer, IWRM and Private Sector Initiation, and the Senior Officer, SWM and Private Sector Integration, in developing innovative and context-specific ideas and modalities.
- Ensure quality control and implement climate-resilient technologies tailored to the context of hardware activities.
- Implement infrastructural activities and supervise masons and contractors.
- Maintain coordination with district-level DPHE, WDB, the Environment Department, and Paurashava authorities regarding relevant technical issues.
- Plan, organize, direct, and control all technical activities while supervising the Senior Officer, Technical Services.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members and contractors.
