Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a National NGO with Consultative Status with the UN ECOSOC and UNESCO. It works for the social and spiritual development of the community. Founded with the motto of ‘Divine and Humanitarian Service’, over 65 years, DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions, enhancing people’s capacities in multi-dimensional field programs and inner potentials.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission is implementing the project in the name Drop In Centre for Street & Working Children and Night Shelter in Dhaka City with the financial support of DAM-UK and Read Foundation, January 2019,at Mohammadpur and Jatrabari in Dhaka City.Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) invites applications for the following positions for immediate appointment in an ongoing project.

Duty Station: Mohammadpur & Jatrabari, Project office

Project Name: Drop In Centre for Street & Working Children & Emergency Night Shelter For Girls Project.

Major Job Description: Counselor

• Proper Assessment of beneficiaries.
• Maintain a record and submit timely reports on activities and recommendations.
• Provide Counselling, individual and group, for street and working children and their family members.
• Manage crisis Situation (Of occurrence).
• Conduct Psycho social education sessions.
• Maintain the Confidentiality Of all beneficiaries’ data.
• Maintain close liaison with other relevant professionals,
• Record keeping and maintaining all kinds of forms/registers, reports, files, guidelines, and other documents.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and other periodical reports as per the treatment center’s guidelines.
• Participating in different Training, meetings, workshops, seminars, and symposiums organized by the project.
• Work as a team member to assess the need for psychosocial services (PSS) and specialized mental health supports among the target group.
• Provide distance or face-to-face counseling to individual children and parents.
• Perform any other duties as and when required.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to project staff for utilizing monitoring tools, techniques, and calendar.
• Asst in preparing monthly, quarterly, and other periodical reports as per the guidelines and requirements of DIC and NS Project.
• Maintain close liaison with other relevant stakeholders from government and non-governmentorganizations.
• Provide necessary support to other team members when needed or instructed by his/her supervisor or organization.
• Others: Be able and willing to respond to natural disasters or emergencies, when needed, and any other task assigned by the Supervisor and /or Senior Management of DAM.
