Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Statistics
Bachelor`s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
Experience
At least 5 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): IT Enabled Service, Call Center, Business-to-Business (B2B) Software and Services Startup
Additional Requirements
At least 5 years of experience analyzing transport-safety data, including crash data, and developing data-driven interventions to improve road-safety conditions.
Strong familiarity with common data platforms and the ability to collate, process and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources and formats.
Experience working with police, health or transport data in Bangladesh, including careful data cleaning, reconciliation and documentation, will be preferred.
Additional Requirements:
The applicants should have experience in road-crash data analysis, GIS and hotspot mapping, dashboard development, data cleaning and documentation.
Experience geocoding and analyzing crash, health or transport data and producing hotspot maps and summary statistics is required.
Fluency in English (written and spoken), working proficiency in Bangla and computer literacy are required.
Responsibilities & Context
Analyze multi-year crash and casualty data to identify contributory factors, themes and road users most at risk of road-crash death and injury, supporting national road-safety planning.
Collate, clean, reconcile and analyze data from multiple police, health and transport sources and formats to identify environmental, vehicle and human factors contributing to crashes and injuries.
Support development of realistic but challenging road-safety performance targets based on robust analysis against a `do-nothing` alternative.
Geocode and analyze crash, health and transport data to produce hotspot maps, charts and summary statistics.
Build simple dashboards or periodic monitoring sheets in Excel or similar tools and maintain data dictionaries, metadata and documentation.
Support document and data reviews, diagnostic analysis and preparation of data-related content for technical reports.
Support the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in maintaining and updating indicator and KPI frameworks with current data.
Any other data-analysis-related activity required for the assignment.
