- Conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills; Excellent communication in both written and speaking in English.
- Well conversant in Accounting ERP, especially in Oracle systems.
- Should have experience in the field of Import/ Export through L/C & T/T Freight Forwarding. Strong knowledge regarding Bill of Lading, other shipping documents, UCPDC, Incoterms and experienced in preparing shipping documents for export and import.
- Well conversant with Bond License, Shipping lines, Bank Correspondence & other statutory authorities, and C&F procedure for clearance of the consignment in port;
- Fair knowledge of sight, deferred and Back to Back L/C; Should have clear knowledge on HS Code & SRO.
- Highly experienced on individuals to manage the entire the commercial operation of the Group ( Woven Garments).
Responsibilities & Context
Overall control and supervision of import functions of all concerns of the Group. Lead, monitor, coordinate & supervise day to day import related activities of Commercial department· Review or update commercial procedures in accordance with new or changing standards. Oversee, Check & control PI & other invoices, packing list & other related documents for exporting/importing of goods/services. Handle all logistics activities related to import for RMG. On time LC and TT Opening from Bank. Sending Original Documents for setting endorsed from Bank and need to send to C&F on same day. Ensuring correct documentation and report keeping and file keeping related with import. Zero detention and on time cargo clearing from port. Taking Supply Chain Cost savings initiatives which contribution towards to bottom line of the business. Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of customs process, documentations and commercial activities.
- Will collect quotation, prepare CS and raise PO, check PI, all terms of Incoterm, payment term, description of goods and HS code and will submit for LC/TT opening in right time to bank. Have to ensure to send LC and TT copy to supplier within the same date of opening. Need to check WN documents and original documents and submit to bank for endorsement.
- Need to close monitoring on every consignment and make sure shipment from supplier-end taking place on time. And no delay shipment encountered.
- Need to collaborate with Freight Forwarder and C&F and Shipping line for making sure that import goods are cleared from port on time without detention.
- Monitor and deal Export & import related documents with the respective authorities of Bank and Buyers; Ensure shipping documents are submitted/delivered to respective custom stations on time. Speed up Export & Import clearance & documentation through effective communication & monitoring Establish standard procedures for specific freight forwarder and prepare comparative statement for specific exportable items;
- Liaison and coordinate all activities of Customs, Bond, Bond audit, Bonded ware house, Incentive, EPB, BGMEA, BIDA (BOI), BANK, CUSTOMS HOUSE, VAT, Income tax etc. Monitor & manage L/C related work which includes, corresponding with buyers, opening L/C and its amendment, monitoring, shipment, document retirement formalities and custom clearing, C&F Agent and transport related concern authorities for smooth and timely delivery of goods;
- Need to have sound knowledge on letter of credit, banking activates related with.
- Need to close monitoring with ware-house team for inventory management.
- And ensure plant will not faces shortages of RM. Liaison Customs and related government and non-government stakeholders/Offices as and when required.
