Requirements

Education

• B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering/ Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.  Educational qualification will be relaxed for a highly experienced person

Experience

• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Manufacturing (FMCG), Chemical Industries

Additional Requirements

• Age at least 27 years

• Practical knowledge in operating and maintaining utility equipment like Boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, chillers, pumps, WTP, WWTP

• Sound understanding of energy management and efficiency improvement techniques
• Should be able to work independently and lead a shift-based utility operation team
• Experience in chemical plants, refineries, or similar heavy industries preferred
• Proficient in maintaining logs, SOPs, and utility reports
• Good communication and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with DCS & PLC systems.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Deputy Manager (Utility) for Bashundhara Chemical Industries Limited, BIEZL, Mirsharai, Chattogram.

Job Responsibility:-

• Lead and oversee daily operations of utility systems, including preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Monitor critical parameters for Steam, DM water, Compressed air, Nitrogen unit, and Cooling Water systems
• Maintain continuous utility support to production without interruption
• Ensure timely maintenance of utility systems and coordinate with maintenance/engineering teams
• Analyze operational data and performance reports to improve system efficiency and reliability
• Ensure documentation like utility logs, maintenance records, and calibration logs is up-to-date
• Coordinate with other departments for seamless plant operations
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure fire and operational safety protocols are followed
• Schedule manpower effectively and manage shift duties
• Report periodically to department heads and assist in compliance reporting to external agencies
