- Having good proficiency in English written and Oral communication be preferred.
- At-least 2 year working experience as DGM – Compliance in a Group of Garments Industry is must
- Must be skilled in handling sustainability, social compliance, certification and security audits.
- Must have a ground experience of serving at least 14 years in Compliance Department in Garments & textile Industry.
- Should have experience of facing audits of reputable brands. (e.g. H&M, Levi’s, Walmart, Tesco, Inditex, Best Sellers etc.
- Must possess knowledge about BW, SLCP and FEM audits.
- Must have good knowledge on CT-PAT matters.
- Must have good knowledge and experience of facing Better Work audits.
- Must have experience to organize and face different brand’s audits independently.
- Having good proficiency in English written and Oral communication be preferred.
Responsibilities & Context
- Job location: Zeerani Bazar(Savar), Kashimpur, Gazipur
- To Lead the sustainability Team of the company.
- Handle compliance issues as per local law & buyer’s COC and meet up the requirements of Buyers, auditors to comply always.
- Should have sound knowledge on Labor Law-2006, Amendment Act-2013 and other required laws applicable in the RMG sector.
- To prepare factory for facing different audit such as social / ethical / environmental / technical / Supply Chain Security (SCS) / QMS audit.
- Monitor compliance certification like WRAP, BSCI, ISO, SEDEX, OEKOTEX, ACCORD, & ALLINCE e.t.c. and able to face their different audits with requirements.
- To ensure the implementation of the following compliance policies.
- To give CAP on audit observation
- Communicate with BGMEA, Compliance Auditors, Fire & Civil defense Department, Labor Office, Labor Court, Police Station, Local Influences and Labor Federation etc.
- To follow up & to ensure timely implementation of all CAP given.
- Maintain environmental sustainability for organization throughout all the activities & work procedures.
- Training related to Health & Safety, Environment, Fire Fighting, Fire Drill, and FAD Training, SOP, and other training related to Social and Technical Compliance.
- Responsible for meeting Buyer requirements on Environmental Issues such as EMS/Energy/Water/Waste Managements, Air Emission & GHG Mgt., Chemical Management and ETP Management.
- Responsible for compiling, updating, maintaining, and filing all permit applications, variances, plans, reports, and studies required by environmental regulation, law and Buyer requirements.
- Responsible for gathering, interpreting, and informing the Management Team with accurate information regarding the utilization of new or existing initiatives or procedures and monitoring Plant environmental status.
- Assists in the engineering, design and implementation of process modification(s) to ensure environmental compliance.
- Responsible for the application/management of all permits and variances associated with environmental issues.
- Prepare and submit reports of plant projects and/or legislative requirements.
- Track Environmental metrics and propose and implement resolutions to reduce safety and environmental incidents.
- Assess compliance with all regulations governing hazardous waste mgt., storage and disposal.
- Ensure waste water treatment for all facilities; asses and further reduce all water impacts.
- Reduce the discharge of hazardous chemicals through the development of improved chemical management practices.
- Ensure proper training of all personnel in environmental issues pertinent to environmental regulations – both generally applicable and those specific to each facility.
- Coordinate environmental audits and inspections – Develop protocols, lead team, conduct assessments, make recommendations, assist with the implementation of recommendations, follow up, publish findings and generate reports and coordinate with management for provisions of resources necessary to mitigate future compliance actions.
- Promote environmental and safety awareness to all stakeholders continually.
- Regularly update stakeholders on changing regulations and compliance.
- And also carry out any special duty assigned as and when required by the management for the interest of the organization
